Our rectangular-oblong tubs are constructed using veneered wood technology, allowing access to a vast variety of wood species not practical or available in solid form. With over 200 veneer types offered, and thicknesses from 0.4 mm, each tub is a blend of craftsmanship and luxury. The veneer is waterproof-adhered to high-quality plywood, ensuring excellent durability and structural stability. Natural grain patterns vary depending on slicing techniques, making each piece unique.
The surface finish is certified hygienic and partially derived from marine technologies used for yacht and ship surfaces. It’s a blend of resin and varnish engineered for water resistance, heat tolerance, and scratch protection. The final coat guards the wood against UV rays, prevents dulling, and maintains a high gloss.
All rectangular and square tubs in the UWD collection come in standard sizes with a click-clack drain valve system (no overflow). On request, these tubs can also be manufactured in solid wood form.
